The Glory Days: New York Baseball, 1947 - 1957 is a virtual exhibition that explores how and why New York City came to dominate Major League baseball and how 11 extraordinary seasons shaped today’s game. It is based on an exhibition on view at the Museum of the City of New York from June 27 to December 31, 2007 that used baseball as a lens through which to examine city life in the post World War II years. The site includes scores of archival photos and gives visitors the ability to leave stories of their own. Launch the website here.
