Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture is a non-profit farm and educational center that aims to improve the way America eats and farms. Located in a spectacular setting just north of New York City, the farm hosts courses, tours, and supplies acclaimed chef Dan Barber’s Blue Hill restaurant, also located on the property. As part of her healthy eating initiative, First Lady Michelle Obama hosted the spouses of other world leaders at Stone Barns, treating them to a tour and lunch on the premises. Local Projects created an original film that premiered at the event featuring the lush visuals of the farm and interviews with Stone Barns farmers and staff. The film explains the myriad ways that Stone Barns is helping to develop sustainable farming practices by means of apprentice farming, youth and adult education, efficient use of resources and the land, and by inspiring people to want to search out and eat healthy foods.
