The Only In America Feature Presentation is a series of media show videographies mixed with interstitial graphics that connect individuals together. Visitors watch a linear “show” made up of four 1- to 2-minute videographies mixed with interstitial graphics. Between these “shows”, there are passive graphics, including a donor wall, a list of the hall and a portrait gallery of honorees, all shown as moving wallpaper. Assembled together we imagine these filmic portraits to be poetic meditations on the almost mystical connections that are forged between those who make incredible work, and those who benefit from it. They are, in short, love letters from us to them; from the world to those that made part of the world what it is today. The videographies acknowledge fame, but dig below celebrity to the truths beneath fame: that some achievements impact the world forever.
