For the Museum of Chinese in America, Local Projects created the Media Design for a series of projected experiences inside a core exhibition space. Working with Maya Lin Studio, we conceived of a series of projected portrait monologues of historic individuals, representing the evolution of the Chinese-American experience. From the exterior, the visitor experiences a chronology of lived lives across the ages. From the interior courtyard, visitors see all of the portraits at once, a simultaneous view of the collective Chinese-American experience.
