Local Projects created a unique wayfinding iPhone app, NYBG in Bloom, for The New York Botanical Garden. A collaboration with the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the app celebrates the garden’s re-creation of Monet’s Garden at Giverny, and features an ‘Impressionist Lens’ photo filter. The lens utilizes the iPhone’s camera to create and share masterpieces in Monet’s style. In addition, Local Projects conceived and developed immersive audio-visual walking tours of the garden, and a feature that lets visitors match paintings from the Met’s collection with the plants at NYBG which inspired Monet at Giverny.
