SeaWorld Rescue is a dynamic double-screen display that blends video, animation, and text to inform park visitors of the ongoing rescue and rehabilitation efforts at SeaWorld San Diego. The display gives facts on the park’s six most commonly rehabilitated animals types; whales & dolphins, seals & sea lions, birds, turtles, otters, and manatees. Each of these animal categories is comprised of video footage showing SeaWorld’s rehabilitation efforts, quotes from the animal’s keepers, statistics, and information in the form of Q&A. The rehabilitation staff is provided with a simple interface to update this information and to add additional animal rescue stories as they happen.
