Local Projects is currently seeking a Graphic Designer with strong 2D design and production skills as well as proficiency in Interaction Design to help shape the future of museum, public and online spaces. Candidates should have 2-4 years experience designing for web, kiosk and mobile. Experience with Motion Graphics and time based works is considered a plus. The Designer will work under Local Projects’ Creative Directors and Principal on a variety of projects and tasks. Local Projects is currently seeking an Interaction Designer to help shape the future of museum and public space media. Design experience spanning a range of platforms preferred (web, handheld, phone, kiosk and spatial installations). We are currently developing media for the National September 11 Memorial Museum, The Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum 2013 rennovation, The Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial and a variety of other cultural and arts institutions. We’re looking for someone with 3-5 years of interaction design experience to help create a number of these projects from the original concept through detailed design, prototyping, testing, and iteration. The ideal candidate will have experience developing innovative interactive experiences in public space. We require a strong foundation in traditional design documentation including wireframes, sitemaps, and flow diagrams. Experience creating prototypes of both high and low fidelity is a must. The candidate should also have experience with user research including the creation of screeners and scripts. We will be interested in the candidate’s ability to interpret user feedback and translate it into design ideas. The Interaction Designer will work under Local Projects’ Creative Directors and Principal on a variety of projects and tasks.
Skill Requirements:
-3-5 years traditional agency-side interaction design experience.
-Exceptionally great oral, written, and visual communication skills.

-Highly developed visual design sensibility.
-Meticulous document production skills.
-OmniGraffle and Photoshop.
